Your Personal Growth Can Be Improved If You Really Want
Does your personal growth need a shake up?
Are you unhappy with what's going on in your life?
Do you know what it is you want, or do you just feel that all
is not the way it should be?
Have a think about that. Is something wrong with the way your life is at the moment?
Is it time for a change? Does the thought of change frighten you?
Change can be scary I know. Fear of change is a barrier to personal growth.
A few years ago I was asked whether I would like to go onto the committee at Church. I said no straight away. I thought I would not be able to do it.
A few weeks later I was asked if I would like to do a reading during the service. I put on a brave face and said that I would.
I was so scared as the time came for my name to be called. I sat trembling at the thought of getting up in front of everyone. I stood up up and did the reading. I was a red as a beetroot - if not redder! I was shaking like a leaf I was so nervous.
Boy did I feel great when I sat down again! Such a sense of achievement! I continue to do readings when asked. In fact I always have a reading with me and am happy to fill in if someone doesn't turn up. I now offer to do them without being asked!
I also joined the committee and have now been the President of the Church for the past three years. So you see if you stay determined and don't give in I know you can do it.
It can be difficult to cope when you're changing from a situation you aren't happy with to one that will improve your life.
I know that taking a chance can be worth the effort.
Have you been thinking for quite a while that you would like to change?
Are you afraid of failure? What makes you think you will fail? How can you know unless you try?
Why not try to look on what you are doing as a challenge, rather than trying to overcome a problem?
The sense of achievement you will feel when you are successful makes it all worthwhile.

It is within your power to start your inner personal growth.
To change you have to alter not only your behavior but your thoughts and feelings. It is important to change your thoughts from negative to positive and start to feel optimistic and happy about yourself.
You have to have determination to alter your inner self.
You may find the decision to change brings you regret. This can make things difficult for you. When this happens, concentrate again on what it is you desire and work towards it. If your decision is the right one, make it and move on with your life.
You make all kinds of decisions every day without being aware. What to wear, what to eat, what to do.
These decisions are often easy because they aren't of vital importance to you. It might be that you are always late for work, and all that needs to be done is to try to leave home earlier.
Working on the inner self is a greater challenge. This is because your feelings are now involved in the outcome. Try to put these to one side while you decide what it is that you want to do and how you intend to do it.
Changing your thoughts and feelings is where the challenge lies.
To change how you are is not simple. Stay determined and try really hard.
You may reach a point when you think "Why bother, it's easier to stay the way I am." Yes it is but
if you aren't happy with how things are, keep going. Don't stop trying to better yourself.
Did you try to change in the past but got nowhere and gave up?
Think about how you felt when you slipped back into your comfort zone.
Did you try to convince yourself you had done
the right thing? Did you then go on to wish you had stuck it out because your life
had slipped back to the way it was. The way you didn't want it to be?
Achieving your personal growth is not easy. You will have to challenge yourself to succeed.
It is important to let go of all negative thoughts that hold you back. Turn your thoughts into positive ones.
Have you conditioned yourself with negative thoughts in
the past? Each time a negative thought comes to mind instantly get rid of it replace it with a positive one.
Are there are issues in your life you aren't happy with, if so try to let them go. They are a barrier to your personal growth.
It may be painful to let go of some of the things in your life that
you no longer need.
Try to stay focused on what it is that you want in your personal growth development.
When you think you can't carry on try to visualize the final outcome.
Think about how great you will feel when you are the way you want. When you are finally living the life you want.
Hold this vision and thought in front of you and recall it each time you begin to doubt yourself.
You should feel a 'happy release'
as you alter your thought pattern. You will become aware of how good you feel.
Try to enjoy the challenge as you strive to improve your inner personal growth.
If you stay determined to achieve you will notice your life begin to change.
Where you were
negative, now you will be positive. This change in attitude will help you to become the person you long to be.
You will also notice that people will react differently towards you because the way you
interact with them has altered.
When you feel good about yourself, you will wonder why it took you so long to decide to work on the inner you.
The new determined, positive you will be a reality.
