Goals For Personal Growth

Have you set goals for yourself in the past and given up before you completed them? Deciding what you would like to do is the easy part, it's seeing it through to the end that causes the problem isn't it!

Do you have something that you really want to work on through to the end? Is this something becoming a barrier to your personal growth development?

If the answer is "yes", start to put the wheels in motion for a successful result!

How do you do this? First you have to start to believe in yourself. Believe that you can achieve anything you wish!

Choose the goal that is the most important to you and work on this one first.

passion, goals, Try visualizing a successful outcome to what you plan. Imagine people walking up to you shaking your hand, congratulating you on your success. Remember how this feels to you. It feels good, right? See this scene as often as you can.

Visualization is very powerful and it will work if you do it often enough.

Your thoughts make your reality. If you have a positive frame of mind you expect things to work for you, and more than likely they will, because what your mind expects it will get!

Stay positive on the outcome of the goal you want to achieve.

Have you set a big goal? Split it up into smaller attainable goals. Finish each small goal before going on to the next. This will make things easier for you to deal with.

Read as much as you can about the subject you are interested in. Learn everything you can about it. Become knowledgeable.

Is there someone who is successful in what it is that you plan? Can you talk to him? If so ask him what he did to help him/her to be a success. It really is a good idea to speak to the experts who have accomplished what you hope to.

perseverance, goals, Never doubt your ability to achieve. Always strive to do the best you can. Say to yourself each day "I will succeed".

Write your goal down and pin it where you can see it each day. Every time you see it, read it to reinforce your determination to succeed.

Are you striving for a new house, or new TV or maybe a new car? Cut out a picture of what it is that you want and put it on the fridge door. Every time you see that picture tell yourself "That's my car." "That's my TV." "That's my new home"

Something I decided to do was build this website. I have spent a number of years working on my personal growth and so I decided to challenge myself by doing a website, - hey! Grandmothers can do anything!

I also wanted to share with others what I had learned during my search for self-improvement and personal growth. The website is not finished yet and continues to grow. I hope you will come back again to see as it is added to!

I could not have achieved it without contacting 'the experts' who have guided me, at my own pace. They have shown me step by step how to build it. I know I could never have done it without their help.

Setting goals and working slowly towards them really does work. Contacting 'people in the know' also works - I have proved it!

You have to have the determination and faith in yourself. If things go wrong, and let's face it they very often do, just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and continue on, with even more determination to succeed.

Keep your dream in front of you and work your way slowly and surely towards its conclusion. Personal growth and goal setting go hand in hand. When you achieve your goal you will have aided your self development.

Know that all the effort you put into it will be worth it when you get that wonderful sense of achievement, knowing that you desired it, planned it, worked on it, never gave up and succeeded - well done you!

Goal setting is just another successful part of your personal growth!
