If a family member dislikes you they will never see your side of things whether you are right or wrong. If you were a fantastic artist they would always call you rubbish and we need to stop people getting us down just because we are different.

People who put you down are not worth bothering with, it says little for them if they are doing this. They are never going to find anything right that you do and the only thing to do is to ignore them and cultivate people who do respect you. There are plenty around who will.
When people put you down, they do it to make themselves feel good and it shows that they are lacking in their lives.

Thank you for your message. Sometimes friends and family may be jealous when they see another's talent.

The important thing is to continue to believe in yourself, and know how talented you are, and of course not give up on yourself. Pursue your dream no matter what.
