well its been going on for a year maybe I just dont feel good about myself because I weigh a 146 pounds and the girls at my school look so skinny and have long hair and pretty skin. I on the other hand dont have long hair like that I dont like the color of my skin.

People tell me im pretty but I just think they tell me that to make me feel good. I'm 14 years old I'm quiet and shy so I dont talk about my problems to anybody I just cry at night. Has anybody got advice.

Not everyone looks the same, it would be a sad world if we did. People do not always look good if they are too skinny, and there are people who put their lives at risk as you know by dieting too strenuously.
It is just a matter of commonsense, if you think you are overweight, then it is time to get some help and advice about diet and exercise. Take a look at yourself in a mirror and ask some sensible person what they think. It might help to get some points on looking good as well as you will have more confidence.
In the meantime remember you are you and ask yourself would you like to be that other person you may admire at the moment for their skinniness.

Here's the deal. Atleast you know what it takes to be pretty. Unfortunately in the U.S. you need to be thin. It is what it is. And unless you're like 4'6", you dont weigh all that much. I mean my first girlfriend was 5 foot 3 inches and like 20 pounds less than you and looked perfect. You're young. Its EASY to lose weight. Just don't eat every meal till you're stuffed. stomach's shrink. And play a sport so you don't just gain it all back. Sports are good. Run. Do cross country running. you'll have a stomach like a washboard and be strong and skinny. There is time. Don't go to the dark side.
