Very low self esteem that keeps me from doing things I want.

by Rosa
(san francisco)

I feel uglier than anyone my age. I feel unimportant and I always seem to find a justification of why I deserve not to feel beautiful or important. I have missed out on about 3 events this month just because I couldn't find anything to wear. What can I do?

Very low self esteem

You are not on your own but you have the power to change your life. Make a list of all your talents and interests and look at them closely. You are good at some things, everyone is, and do not worry about those your are not.

Everyone has some good about them, and you are only perceiving that you are ugly, it is more important what you are inside.
Don't worry about people who put you down, sometime they are insecure and only gain power by hurting other people. You will encounter jealousy and spite, just let that go, it is not important in your scheme of things.
There are people out there who will recognise what you are and love you for being you.
