Are you asking yourself, where did the year go? I know I am.

Have you noticed the older you get the faster the time goes? When you think back to your childhood, did the days and weeks seem to go by endlessly?

As we grow older we tend to do so much more throughout the day. We have so many gadgets available that enable us to get things done faster and more efficiently, but somehow this doesn't seem to give us more free time, but enables us to fit even more into the day to make us busier. And now, here comes Christmas galloping up to greet us.

I know visitors to Positive Personal Growth are spread throughout different parts of the world. Here in New Zealand it is summer time, and most of us are looking forward to having a hot sunny Christmas day. No doubt there are those of you who are hoping to have snow to make your day special.

I hope all of you are able to share this special day with your loved ones and friends, for this is what Christmas is all about don't you think? I am looking forward to opening presents with my grandchildren. This is my favorite part of Christmas day.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas. I also hope you are able to share it with your loved ones and friends. Stay safe, have fun, and may you all have an enjoyable day. I would also like to wish you a happy positive 2008.

I would like to share with you this heartwarming story that I have come across.

Some time ago a mother punished her five year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and she became even more upset when the child used the gold paper to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her mother the next morning and then said, "This is for you, Momma." The mother was embarrassed by her earlier over reaction, but her anger flared again when she opened the box and found it was empty.

She spoke to her daughter in a harsh manner. "Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the package?" She had tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Momma, it's not empty! I blew kisses into it until it was full." The mother was crushed.

She fell on her knees and put her arms around her little girl, and she begged her forgiveness for her thoughtless anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later, and it is told that the mother kept that gold box by her bed for all the years of her life.

Whenever she was discouraged or faced difficult problems she would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us, as human beings, have been given a Golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God.

There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

The links below are to Invitation pages on the website, where you can offer help to those with problems, or receive help yourself in an area of life that you aren't happy with. Also, share what you have to tell us in other areas of your life.

There are people who have no one they can talk to about their problems, or even share their good news, or happiness with. I am also sure there are those of you who have much knowledge and advice to share with those in need.
