relationship issues

by Anonymous
(Ohio)

This girl broke up with me for her ex. It really shouldn't bother me, but it did extremely bad. This has happened to me four times this year.

The girl now wants to be friends, but I can't because I still have feelings for her and it makes me want to not be around her. I want to tell her this but I really don't know how without upsetting her.

Relationship issues
by: Kay

Thank you for contacting Positive Personal Growth. The ending of a relationship is always painful, particularly when it has been ended by the other person. I wonder if this girl is offering friendship in the hope of making you feel better with the situation?

I feel you should be totally honest with her and let her know that because you still have feelings for her you think being friends at this time will not work out for you. Let her know you hope everything goes well for her, and move on with your life.

Unfortunately this may not be the last painful experience you encounter, but once you meet the right girl, you will know in your heart that the other relationships just weren't meant to be.

I wish you luck for the future.

Love
Kay
