Exams fear

My name is Fenix and my problem is that I used to be on top in class until I got 90/100 in English.

English isn't my first language but failing in this material seems to be very hard for me, and since then I haven't been able to talk or share my thoughts in class.

I can't stand on my feet anymore and I need some advice.

Fear of Failure
by: Kay

Thank you for contacting Positive Personal Growth. The fact that you think you have failed is all in the way your thoughts are. Scoring 90/100 is not failing but in your mind because you expected to get 100% you have let this lower mark overtake your way of thinking.

Don't concentrate on the fact your mark was lower. No one can achieve 100% perfection 100% of the time. It's important that you congratulate yourself on the fact that you tried your best and passed, and not tell yourself that you tried yourself and failed!

I am sure no one sees you as failing but you. Take time to see yourself in a new positive light, and know that no matter what your score, the fact that you did your best is what counts.
