Boy problem

by Tanny
(Birmingham)

I am 14yrs old. I really like this boy in my school. We talk on MSN a lot freely! Also I have his phone number. I don't call him but I do text him sometimes.

When we come to school I hardly talk to him because I am really shy. He isn't shy at all! He always says hi and asks how I am but I am too shy to reply.

I don't know what to do? How to ask the boy out? I really want to talk to him the way I do on MSN!

HELP!

Boy problem
by: Kay

Thank you for contacting Positive Personal Growth. It's amazing how much easier it is to talk to someone when it's not face to face isn't it? We can be far more confident and say things we wouldn't dare say otherwise.

The only way you're going to solve this problem is if you start talking to this young man! Have you told him on MSN how shy you are when you see him? I have a feeling when you do finally get to chat to him he's not going to talk to you the way he does on MSN.

You are just going to have to be brave and start asking him questions so that he can speak with you. Give it a go the next time you see him.

Good luck

Love
Kay
